Bouldin Creek is a fun, eclectic Austin area. Originally developed in the early 1900s, some historic homes still remain dating back to the 1920s and 1930s. The neighborhood is diverse with many cultures and backgrounds represented. Due to gentrification and its proximity to Downtown Austin, the neighborhood has changed quite a bit over time.

Situated between Barton Springs and West Oltorf, Bouldin Creek is a part of the South First and South Congress (or SOCO) commercial areas. These areas are hot spots in Austin and feature locally run restaurants and vintage shops, some of which boast, “Keep Austin Weird.” There is a little something for everyone in this part of town including tattoo parlors, bakeries, and art galleries. In addition to its unique and sometimes quirky destinations, the neighborhood also contains historical sites such as Green Pastures, which is a Victorian mansion and St. Anne African Methodist Episcopal Church which dates back to 1916!

The Bouldin Creek area is popular for dining, shopping, and nightlife, and it especially appeals to young couples and singles. Popular nearby locations include The Warehouse District where converted warehouses have become stores, restaurants, and entertainment venues. It is also located close to downtown, the popular hike and bike trail at Ladybird Lake, Barton Creek, and Zilker Park.

Families living in the Bouldin Creek neighborhood are served by Travis Heights Elementary and Becker Elementary, as well as Fulmore Middle School and Travis High School.
